Dedicated to the nomination and election of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the next President of the United States

Welcome to my Mike Huckabee for President blog!

Welcome to the unofficial Mike Huckabee for President blog site. It is dedicated to the election of my Governor as President in 2008. For the last 10 years, Governor Huckabee has reigned over an unprecedented era of growth in our state. He has maintained honor and integrity serving the people of Arkansas with steadfastness and conviction. Governor Huckabee is a strong conservative, yet is much more pragmatic than ideological. He has gotten results, not just made empty promises. As a former minister, he epitomizes the essence of "compassionate conservatism," helping to create ARKids First, a health care program dedicated to serving those who are not poor enough to be on Medicaid, yet not wealthy enough for private insurance. As he prepares to leave office, he is leaving Arkansas with the largest surplus the state has ever had, totaling near $900 million. When he took office, Arkansas' highways were rated the worst in the nation; now they are ranked as the most improved in the nation. I have had the wonderful privilege of meeting Governor Huckabee many, many times and know that he is a man of the highest character who cares about all Arkansans and all Americans. I believe he has just the right combination of common sense, charisma, and proven leadership to be our next President.

I invite you to check back often for updates, and I invite you to post your thoughts on his potential candidacy as well as weighing the pros and cons of him and other possible Republican nominees.

Thank you for your blog. I totally agree that health care should belong to the person and not to the job.

Could you discuss your position on Single-Payer Universal Health Care? I think all of the points that you make about the health care industry agree with a single-payer approach, including that we should not have a federal mandate to subsidize the existing health care insurance industry dinosaur.

Any chance that you could be the first Republican politician to endorse HR 676 and join Republicans for Single Payer Universal Health Care ? This would make the debates interesting !

I like Gov. Huckabee very much, but I do not see the Republicans getting behind him much right now. New channels either, such as, Fox News is not giving him any air time and every time there is a pole given by any News channel they do not even mansion his name as a contender. I hope that the country will see that Huckabee is a great choice. He knows the issues and he is well able to articulate them, but I fear that he makes too much sense and that he will be systematically suppressed. It is my hope that he will be seen more on network TV so that America well be able to see the powerful voice that he carries for the people of this great country.

I am a registered democrat but was leaning toward Huckabee for his Christian values and logical reponses in handling world affairs/issues on war, immigration, etc. However his humor was less than Christian in reference to "What would Jesus do?" No matter the differences I don't think Jesus would waste taxpayers dollars on sending Senator Clinton to Mars let alone be disrespectful in His comments. Is this the beginning of mud slinging by a claimed Christian candidate?

I was looking for a way to contact Mr. Huckabee in regards to his comments on evolution.
If Mr. Huckabee is a believer in the Bible, he should be aware that it is clearly stated in the Bible that "death came into the world through sin, and sin through one man Adam". The process of evolution requires the life and death of millions of life forms to finally arrive at the finished product. The evolutionary process as described in most text books is therefore anti biblical. God could not have used evolution in the 6 days of creation even if we were to assume that they were periods of time, because a death is a requirement of evolution and death did not enter into the world until sometime after the six days of creation were completed.

I was watching Gov. Huckabee & he said that after being elected he would put a fence around the USA boarders. I only hope he knows what he is doind & were the threats are. I am sure a fence between Canada & the U.S.A. are not going to keep terrotist out. I don't think the W M D is in Canada. Take care good luck.

Gov. Mike Huckabee is the only person who is not a Washington Insider.. He seems to me not to be a person who says "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" type of guy. We need this person in the Whitehouse!! I get to vote March 4th and I can tell you my vote is for Mike Huckabee.. I believe him to be a man of his word and will not forget about it once in the Whitehouse as so many have done before him.
Go Mike!!

I believe that Rev. Huckabee has a loyal following because he is a principled man would put America on the right path. I believe that Rev. Huckabee should give up the race for the Republican nominee and began a race for president as an independent or as the leader of the Christian Americans party. He is someone who this country desperately needs and it would be a shame if he was to fade from the political scene. McCain is a liberal in conservative clothing. He is not a true representative of the conservative idealogy therefore I cannot bring myself to vote for him, yet I cannot vote for a democrat either.

Hello I am not a reg. voter as of now. I have desprately been trying to find someone I support to go into office, there was another candidate that I thought I supported until I found out that they supported stem cell research. I refuse to compromise any of my beliefs to vote for someone. I will not vote for someone I "mostly" support and in relation to that. I was wondering, since I have had trouble following the debates and such does Hukabee support stem cell research? I really feel that he is the one I would like to vote for, for the first time in my life because of his deep rooted faith, I just dont want to regret my decision......
can anyone give me a bit of info?

Katey
